Approach & quality
Slow where it matters. Quick everywhere else.
Our process has five stages, and every project is checked against the same written quality criteria before anything is released.
Listen
A conversation about people, goals and constraints. We write up what we heard so you can correct it.
Shape
Journeys, a small first scope and a written estimate. We say clearly what is out of scope for now.
Prototype
Clickable screens tested with a few real users where possible. Changes are cheapest here.
Build
Short cycles with test builds and progress notes you can read without a technical background.
Prepare & release
Store listings, privacy declarations, checks against our criteria, and a handover pack.
Quality criteria
What “ready” means to us.
- Understandable: a new user can complete the main task without help.
- Accessible: checked against WCAG 2.2 AA as a working target — contrast, focus, labels, text scaling.
- Respectful: collects only the data it needs and says why.
- Robust: sensible behaviour on slow connections, small screens and errors.
- Releasable: store metadata, privacy information and version notes complete and accurate.
- Maintainable: documented so another developer could pick it up.
Honest achievements
What we can, and cannot, claim.
We are a newly established practice. We do not display awards, certifications, client logos, testimonials or performance statistics, because we would rather show nothing than show something we cannot back up.
What we have achieved so far is the groundwork: a clearly defined process, the written quality criteria above, free practical guidance for anyone planning an app or website, and a contact system that tells you truthfully what happened to your message.
As we complete work, we will only publish case studies with the client’s explicit permission.
